ACCOUNTANT – HONG KONG

Job Description

Our client, a global provider of technical solutions for the theatre, events, and exhibition industries,
is currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join their growing team in Asia. This is a
standalone role that suits someone who’s confident managing all areas of accounting while also
supporting regional operations.

About the Role:

The Accountant will be responsible for handling the full set of accounts for the Hong Kong office,
as well as supporting the General Manager with finance-related matters across Asia. This position
requires someone hands-on, accurate, and able to work independently. Experience with ERP
systems and prior exposure to regional accounting (e.g., China or Japan) will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, bank reconciliation, intercompany
  transactions, and month-end closing
• Prepare financial and costing reports, payroll, MPF, petty cash, and journal entries
• Support internal and external audits, as well as tax filings
• Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and regional finance teams
• Oversee administrative accounting tasks such as commercial insurance, vehicle insurance, and company secretarial filings
• Maintain and update ERP system records (Navision/Business Central preferred)
• Assist the General Manager with finance matters across Asia branches
• Handle other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Accounting with LCCI Higher Certificate
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including full set of accounts
• Proficient in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, formulas, reconciliations)
• Experience in payroll, MPF, and balance sheet accounts
• ERP experience preferred — especially Navision or Business Central
• Familiarity with accounting practices in China or Japan is a plus
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese
• Immediate availability preferred
